Welcome everyone! This is our second Awaken the Sleeping Giant conference call. Our next call will be on January 4, 2006. Tonight’s content is being taped and will be transcribed and made available to everyone by email and on our website.

Opening Prayer

Please join me in an opening prayer.

Our Heavenly Father, we are here in this circle of love to be used by you for the greater purpose of praying for America. This is a land that countless numbers of people have come to, or want to come to, because it is known as a land of all races, cultures, and languages. It is also a land of multiple spiritual and religious beliefs. It is a melting pot of humanity—and the land of the free.

Because we have such freedom in the U.S.A., and because Jesus asked us to pray for our country, we are able and more than willing to do so. He and others from higher spiritual spheres and planes are watching our activities and participating with us even this very minute.

Heavenly Father, we have some understanding as to why such a specific request would be made at this time in our national and world history. And yet we do not know the full reality of what those in spirit, including Jesus, know. Therefore, like children, we have entered onto this path of prayer in faith and innocent trust.

Throughout human history, there have been those called out to watch over, pray for, and thus protect certain lands and people, certain territories and countries. In this prayer condition—to Awaken the Sleeping Giant—we have a sense that we are called out in a similar way for similar reasons. We have taken up this cause, Father, because we are concerned about the future of the people of the United States and want—in our own little way—to make a difference and to secure a happy, prosperous, safe future for all of our country’s men, women, and children.

We ask your guidance every step of the way, Heavenly Father; individually in our daily life and in our life together as a group—as a team—attempting to liberate this land through mindfully applied prayer energy from the Atlantic Coast to the Pacific Coast.

It is said, Father, that in the human condition you always make ways for us to thrive and survive, that you are always available, always watching and aiding, always caring and loving. It is in this spirit that we go forth with our prayers for America and the world. Following your example, we seek to carry your heart to the people as we rain down droplets of love upon all.

Thank you Heavenly Father, Jesus and all those participating from above, for the trust you have put in us by allowing us the privilege to know what we know and to do what we are now doing.

All of this Father, I pray and ask in the Christ spirit and in divine love. Amen

Opening Talk—God and Man Working Together

We are now over two hundred strong! And the numbers are growing. Thank you everyone for joining in prayers for the United States of America. Who knows what the future holds for this land? Many advanced spiritual people have given prophecies as to its future over its span of two hundred and thirty years of existence (1776-2006). These prophecies have run the gamut, from seeing its downfall to seeing it as a prosperous and blessed nation.

Even this moment, a world famous spiritual leader in the Far East has told his followers, who exist in the millions, not to pray for their country but for America. And I am sure there are others who are saying similar things resulting from spiritual revelation. Then, of course, Jesus probably also asked us to pray for America at this time because of his insight regarding the possible unfolding reality of our country—wanting to avoid its further decline and to bring it back up to fulfill its great potential.

The Universal Reality of All Nations

Every nation has its course. Nations are like people, each one has its course in world history according to a divine will and divine plan. Each goes through its path of struggle, internal and external strife, its rise and its decline, again and again through these cycles, as a means, from God’s point of view, of raising up its people through both suffering and blessings. It is a universal reality of all nations.

Each nation has its stories of its history and the interplay of God and man in this history. It is the story of man’s awakening to higher knowledge and seeking to rise up from a lesser existence to a greater existence. It is the story of God and man working together for the overcoming of suffering and the bringing of blessings on the individual and upon the nation. In all of these classical, national tales one reads of God (by whatever name given) playing his role and man playing his.

The lesson is always obvious in these stories: There is one will, and when man cooperates with that will, prosperity comes upon those individuals; and when enough people are cooperating, prosperity comes upon that nation. In one language (in this case the Korean language), it is called the “Heavenly Oon,” meaning the blessing of God, upon a nation.

What one must add is: that while these stories of nations and peoples may seem, at times, mythical in nature, they speak of a great truth: What is that great truth? Man did not create himself. Man was created by God, or whatever name or label you want to give the Creator of humankind. And it is the one who creates who knows why he creates. This is so, with both man and God. Thus, to know the Source of life intimately is to know the divine plan for life. They go hand and hand: God and divine will. In cooperation with this divine knowledge, man is guided by God’s presence in him and by representatives of God in the form of spiritual beings, even as Jesus interceded to bring about our cooperation with heaven for the carrying out of a prayer to Awaken the Sleeping Giant.

We Are Repeating History

What is my point? My point is that the possibility of such a request, given by Jesus, that you and I are now fulfilling to awaken this nation, is not out of keeping with the way that God has worked in small and large ways throughout human history. Jewish and Christian histories are replete with such directives from God. For example, Abraham, the father of Jewish faith, also known as the Father of Faith, was asked by God to sacrifice his son, Isaac. And when Abraham sought to carry out the terrible deed, God stopped him, through an angel, because Abraham showed complete faith in God by doing exactly as God asked. God was satisfied that Abraham was one with him and completely obedient. Abraham passed the test of faith and went on to found a nation.

Moses became a voice for God on numerous occasions as he sought to overcome Egyptian persecution and resistance to allowing the Hebrews to leave Egypt as God had instructed Moses. So great was Moses’ faith and the need to obey God’s directives, that the Red Sea opened for him and his people to pass through on dry land; and as the water closed behind them, the Egyptians, following in hot pursuit, were all drowned.

Jesus, himself, listened to and followed God’s voice as an obedient son, that through his efforts and ultimate suffering, he laid the cornerstone for the foundation of the Christian Church, which has lasted 2000 years. Saint Paul, following in the footsteps of Jesus, did likewise, laying the foundation for the expanded work of Jesus, all by obedience to God’s commands. In each of these cases, someone heard the voice of God and obeyed. As a result, many people benefited as they cooperatively worked with God’s directions through a single individual.

Today I believe there are many like Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Saint Paul, speaking on God’s behalf, who have received clear revelation to do so and so. In many cases, it is to pray for America and/or the world. In this way, God multiplies himself and extends himself through man so that man can do God’s work on earth.

Following the One Will

It is a cooperative thing that you and I, through what we are doing together, are enabling God, great spirit world masters, and the general population of the spirit world, to come to earth and act upon our individual and cumulative energy. Because I know and understand this principle, I had no hesitation to act as I did with putting out my little letter and little spiritual experience. I trusted Jesus and the one who sent him to tell me to pray for America.

None of the individuals of the Old or New Testaments in the Bible that I just spoke of knew the outcome of their efforts. They only knew that there was one will, and they acted accordingly. We know the outcome of their efforts. For in the Western world we stand spiritually upon their foundation and the foundation of countless other spiritual heroes who dared to listen to the voice of God and obey it.

We are now in the midst of these spiritual warriors as, by the thousands and thousands and thousands, they surround us in spirit to inspire, to aid, to point the way, to give vision, spiritual sustenance, and hope to each one of us and to the countless others on earth who love their country and this world and want eternal peace to reign on earth and in the hearts and minds of all people everywhere. Peace, peace, peace is the cry of the day. It is why we are seeking to Awaken the Sleeping Giant.

We Are Bridges for God to Cross

I have spoken in this way, not to make myself look special or to have any of us feel unrealistically important. We are just bridges for God to cross to come to earth and do his work according to his will. I have spoken in this way to give import to what we are doing, so that each one of us may see and feel the mission and value of his or her contribution for this nation.

How many of us would have prayed long, long hours had we known what would befall this great but vulnerable nation on September 11, 2001. All of you within the sound of my voice would have sacrificed sleep and many other things to pray if you knew your prayers would make a difference, if such prayers could have stopped the historically tragic and nationally debilitating attack on our homeland.

I have been with parents whose child is in the hospital or in grave danger of dying. I have even officiated at the funeral and the burying of one such child. Facing such potential tragedies causes those involved to transcend their personal concern and give their all to the one who is ill, or who has been in an automobile accident, or any one of a number of potentially tragic endings to life on earth.

We Are Trusting God and His Promises

We do not know the outcome of our prayers for this worthy cause you and I are now serving. But we have faith, a faith that can and will grow, and with this faith, we can be sustained regardless of not knowing the outcome of our prayers. We trust God and his promises. We feel and know that we are being watched and assisted at every turn when it comes to praying for and loving anyone and everyone and especially our nation.

I appreciate so much the words used as a quote in my first letter, Awaken the Sleeping Giant of the United States of America:

...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2Chronicles: 7:14

I do not take these as idle words. I take them as true words, because human history tells us that they are true. When we study the rise and fall of nations, we will find an element of man’s turning away from goodness or pure love, of man’s insidious selfishness ruining a society or a people. As we do to ourselves and others, so we do to God.

Thus, in all cultures that have risen and fallen, there are elements of immorality and rebellion, of degrading and spiritually debilitating acts by individuals and groups of individuals. There is a moving away from social norms in behavior to abnormal behavior as found in the Rome of Jesus’ day, in Greece, in Germany, in Russia, in China, and many others, and yes, in America.

As We Stir, the Giant Begins to Awaken

You and I are the ones who need to humble ourselves, not point fingers or judge. That is God’s business, not yours or mine. It is we, without a sense of false pride or a puffed up feeling, who need to seek God’s face and censor our own life as representatives with countless others who are attempting to do the same, by which God will hear us and show amnesty and love and heal us and our land. Remember that the Giant sleeps as each one of us sleeps, and when we stir, others will stir. It happened to me, it happened to you, and it will happen to others. In this way, we can and are making a difference in our country and in the world.

In conclusion, stay the course, be consistent to the call, and know you are in the right place at the right time; that you are being counted upon. By joining our prayers with others in this circle and outside of this circle, we can wake up the sleeping giant!

1. Some of you have written asking about getting into the "Participant’s Page" on our website www.awakensleepinggiant.org. That part of our site is not yet ready to be opened. When it is, we will let you know and send you the user name and password.
2. A question was posed about the cities chosen as major cities. The cities were chosen based on population. Not all of the capital cities were chosen. If you wish to include other cities, please do so. In fact, if you want me to add to the public list, I will be happy to do that. These cities are representative of all the cities in America, and by praying for them, we are symbolically praying for all the cities. In addition, when we are praying for the nation, all American cities, though not visualized, fall under this umbrella of prayer over the nation.
3. Because there is strength in numbers with surrounding and mutual support combined with additional prayer energy exerted with additional people, and out of great concern for our nation, please pass on to others the existence of this project to Awaken the Sleeping Giant.

Prayer to Awaken the Sleeping Giant

I would like to now pray with you the prayer given to us by Jesus. But first let us go over the Mission Statement. If you have it there, read it aloud with me. And then we will do a short meditation to begin the Prayer Condition to Awaken the Sleeping Giant.

Mission Statement

I understand that Jesus has asked for special prayer for America. To comply with his request, I have volunteered to be a prayer channel—ideally once a day for three months—for God to radiate through me unconditional, loving, healing energies to all Americans of the United States. It is not my responsibility to determine the outcome of my prayers. In faith, I leave the outcome in the hands of God.

A Starting Meditation to Set Intent and Attunement

Sense or feel the radiation of energy that is all around you, the God presence. Feel it in you, particularly in your heart. Also, sense the oneness of this circle, all two hundred that are participating. Now I would like you to center upon your mind. And see it as being filled with white light. This white light, being the presence of God, is expanding throughout your whole body and spirit and outside of you. Feel this energy as literal energy. It is this energy that is uniting us into one. It is one energy. Now feel and experience this energy in your heart. We are all loving beings who want to love and be loved. It is natural to us to want to give out energy when we know the purpose and we love the object of this energy.

Imagine across this land that tonight there are children who have no provision for food, clothing, or shelter. And there are thousands of them in this rich land. And there are those who have lost someone. There are parents who lost a child, or a wife who has lost a husband, or a husband who has lost a wife. And there are those who have no provision for money at all. There are many in the New Orleans area and along the Gulf Coast of America. There are those people who are in prison who have no hope. There are individuals who today were in an automobile accident; or others who today by some accident, lost their sight. There are those who just discovered that they have some disease. Of over three hundred million people in America, there are thousands and thousands in this situation.

Then there are leaders who need the wisdom to know how to lead effectively, truthfully. There are leaders who have major decisions to make that will affect millions of us. All of these people and more are in need of prayer.

Let our intention be set to know that our prayers are heard; that however miniscule our energy sent forth is, it counts. The vision does not have to be perfectly clear. It is your intention that sends the energy forth and makes the difference. Let all people at this moment feel yourself with those for whom you feel empathy, sympathy, and hope.

Now please join me in executing the prayer to Awaken the Sleeping Giant as given by Jesus. I do not follow an exact pattern but center upon the imagery given and my heart of unconditional love. But, as I go into each part of the prayer, I would ask you to visualize with me and send forth your energies to fulfill the prayer’s direction and purpose.

Now let us begin:

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for hearing our prayer for America. Please continue to inspire us to keep on keeping on, to remember to remember, to be consistent, honest, surrendered, and positive, and to watch for the signs following, knowing that you have called us and are working with us.
