Conference Call #22
Quotations
Don Sardella
May 15, 2006
Don Sardella gave a verbal presentation on the May 15 conference call, which is not available for posting. Don submitted the quotes he selected for his presentation:
We must become the change we seek in the world.
GandhiOur deepest fear is not that we are inadequate [but] that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
Marianne WilliamsonI do the best I know how, the very best I can; and I mean to keep on doing it to the end. If the end brings me out all right, what is said against me will not amount to anything. If the end brings me out all wrong, ten angels swearing I was right would make no difference.
Abraham LincolnThe fruit of silence is PRAYER. The fruit of prayer is FAITH. The fruit of faith is LOVE. The fruit of love is SERVICE. The fruit of service is PEACE.
Mother TeresaI sought my God and my God I could not find.
I sought my soul and my soul eluded me.
I sought my brother to serve him in his need,
And I found all three—my God, my soul and thee.

Don Sardella began working with non-profit organizations in late 1976. In 1987, he and his wife Iris started the Institute for Leadership Development, which includes a series of training programs to help people improve their skills in productivity, profitability, leadership, and life balance. For more than ten years, 90% of their business has been based on their work with the Financial Services Industry, but they are still active with pet projects in the non-profit sector.
Don and Iris have gained tremendous value from their participation with the work of Philip Burley and their time with Philip is always a rich experience and gift for them. They share the intent to help others in any way they can, to the best of their ability, and they are looking forward to getting to know each one of the participants in the Awaken the Sleeping Giant prayer project.
Don and his wife have four beautiful children between the ages of twelve and eighteen. Reflecting their commitment to balance, they have two boys and two girls, so they got the universe to support them on this one.
