Welcome everyone! This is Philip Burley speaking. This is our third Awaken the Sleeping Giant conference call. Our next conference calls will be on Wednesday, January 11 and Thursday, January 12, 2006. As usual, the content of tonight’s meeting will be made available to everyone by email and on our website.
Opening Prayer
Please join me in an opening prayer.
Our Heavenly Father, we are poised and waiting always for your guidance. Each one on this phone call is here because of a seriousness of heart, lending their life energy in prayer for the present and future of America. They have unselfishly given their life during this time for this purpose.
Father, we know you hear our prayers and that they are making a difference, even when we are not aware of it. By descending to earth through us and countless others, you are spreading your unconditional love around this great land, bringing about awakening, understanding, inspiration, insight, forgiveness, hope, and healing where needed.
Often we feel we are being used by you for this purpose when we pray. In the transcendent moments of prayer, an accompanying presence tells us that this is so. We are so grateful to be used in this way by you and the accompanying holy spiritual force attending to earth’s welfare and spiritual evolution.
Please heighten our awareness and understanding as we are doing this spiritual prayer condition together, led by Jesus. Give us great insight as to just how close you are to us and dependent upon our cooperation to manifest your divine will on earth at this time.
Always, it is through the unity among a people and the unity between these same people and you that great and good things can happen on earth. The founding Fathers of this nation knew this fact and therefore banded together to establish the United States of America under God.
For the prosperous and good future of these United States, we too have banded together in prayer to awaken ourselves and our fellow citizens, that our national foundation can be re-enforced with prayer and right action, can be protected from any negative or destructive forces, and can be healed and made healthy and whole for the sake of our nation and the rest of the world.
All this I pray in the Christ Spirit, in Jesus’ name, Amen
Opening Talk—Prayer Pattern for Success
Jesus, In-Distance Healing, and Daskalos
I would like to speak on in-distance healing, because in large part, that is what we are doing through our prayers to Awaken the Sleeping Giant. It was Jesus who told me to pray in the way that we are praying. I want you to know that I did not alter one bit of what he told me. So present and clear was he in his communication with me at 3:15 in the morning, that as I came out of the experience, everything he said was crystal clear in my mind. It was not like a dream where often we cannot remember the nuances and at times even major parts of a dream.
No Question As to What Jesus Wanted Us to Do
In this case, Jesus was with me in real time, and I was wide-awake. He was very personal, very direct, and clear on what he wanted us to do. It is this reality that I experienced with Jesus, combined with my clear recollection of what he said, that figured greatly in my having the unfettered conviction to comply with his instructions.
Up to now, I have not revealed the whole story because until a group of people was assembled to seriously pray consistently, the finer aspects of Jesus’ directive were not important for the launching of this prayer project.
By way of these comments, I am leading into "in-distance" healing.
We are Transformers of God’s Energy
As we all know, energy can be neither created nor destroyed; it can only be transformed. This clearly means that, in the ultimate sense, God, the author of life, created energy or all of life, and only he can extinguish the infinite energy of all of life. All we can do as humans is transform it, which we do every day as the energy of our minds is transformed into action, or actions seen and experienced give rise to transforming the energy in our mind into new thoughts.
In our prayers, we are transformers of God’s energy as it passes through our minds and hearts and out to the world through the words used to express our prayers and the feelings or emotions behind the words that comprise our prayers for this nation and the world.
The Rest of the Story
After Jesus told me to pray for America, adding, "in order to awaken the Sleeping Giant" he said, "And pray like Daskalos." I had read the work of Daskalos (meaning teacher) in the book entitled: The Magus (master) of Strovolos by Kyriacos C. Markides. Obviously, Jesus knew I had read this book, or he would not have mentioned Daskalos’ name in reference to my praying in the Daskalos’ fashion.
Who is Daskalos? I will not go into detail in this conference call about this great healer. Some of you may know of him already. Others, who do not, can read about him at the website address: Daskalos: http://researchers-of-truth.org/TheTeaching.htm
To make a long story short, Daskalos, known by his real name Stylianos Atteshli, was born in 1910 in Cyprus. Whether he is still living or not I could not ascertain. If so, he would be 96.
From an early age, Daskalos was a healer, and as he aged, he became a great healer. The stories about his healing abilities and the people he healed are legend. His life can be described, in my words, as being in the tradition and of the stature of one of the Far Eastern mystic-healer gurus.
This rare being was a man of great humility, a spiritual adept with capabilities beyond most peoples’ understanding. To read about him is to awaken to even further and higher possibilities as we walk on the spiritual path back home.
That is enough said as an introduction. The part Jesus was referring to when he said to pray like Daskalos was the fact that this man of great spiritual abilities could pray, go into a modified state of mind, and leave in spirit from his body to go out and heal. This he did many times. But the greatest feat Daskalos spoke about himself, found in the book Magus of Strovolos, is when he was asked by God to leave his body in spirit and go to the area above the war zone on the Island of Cyprus where his people and the Turks were engaged in a heated battle. Daskalos obeyed. Not only did he go there and hover above this drawn battle front line in spirit, being the spiritual adept he was, he also spread his spirit out over the whole line and rained down droplets of healing love upon that line, bringing the war to a halt.
We are not Daskalos, though some of you may be as adept as he was. All this aside, from having read about Daskalos, I understood clearly what Jesus meant when he said pray like Daskalos. Therefore, I have written the prayer as it is, for the raining down of droplets of love upon our land. This is the other side of the story.
A Prayer Pattern for Success
To continue, I want to encourage each one of you to follow the pattern of the prayer closely as written. Sometimes when I pray, and when I am very open spiritually, I can actually see my own prayer thought energy leave my mind and go as a golden-white light to the person for whom I am praying. It speeds more rapidly than light to the person for whom I am praying.
So it is, dear friends, your prayers, backed by the energy of love and care thrust out of your heart and mind, propel your prayers forward to hit their target and fulfill your prayer’s divine intent. That is, as you imagine a white light with droplets of love pouring on our people, just know that it is happening in real time.
Your prayers are a force for goodness, asked for by the master of masters. He knows the science of prayer thought and designed our outreach to fit into this science. His directive conforms to the findings of the researchers of this day as to the effectiveness of in-distance healing. Extensive research shows the reality and effectiveness of prayer in general and in in-distance healing prayers specifically. Continue to pray and trust that your prayers are going forth, reaching their intended targets and that they are making a difference!

Mission Statement
I understand that Jesus has asked for special prayer for America. To comply with his request, I have volunteered to be a prayer channel—ideally once a day for three months—for God to radiate through me unconditional, loving, healing energies to all Americans of the United States. It is not my responsibility to determine the outcome of my prayers. In faith, I leave the outcome in the hands of God.
