Good evening and welcome everyone! This is our seventh Awaken the Sleeping Giant conference call. Our next conference calls will be on Wednesday, February 8 and Thursday, February 9, 2006. Please look for the content of tonight’s meeting in your email.

I have a few announcements:

1. I will be on the radio/TV Show Imagine this coming Saturday at 2:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. Shirley Catanzaro is the wonderful host of this program. A separate mailing will be sent out to you as to how you can participate by listening and watching and calling in. In brief, go to www.kfhx.com, which will bring up the radio/TV station web page. On this page, you will find the call-in numbers, in case you want to speak to me, and below these numbers are the different ways to tune in, depending upon your computer setup. It is all very self-explanatory. The theme of the program will be "love," and I will be giving mini readings and probably even channeling Saint Germain. At the end of this script, you will find further information.
2. Some of you are telling us that when you call in you can hear us, but we cannot hear you. Others are telling us that you can’t get on at all or only after a number of calls. We are investigating alternative companies and will keep you informed.
3. At the end of tonight’s prayer, I will remain on the line to meet everyone informally who would like to ask questions and make comments. We have done this twice now, and it is an excellent opportunity to create a community/family reality among us. Please stay on if you can.

I hear similar content from a number of you that I am about to read in a letter from a dear woman in Arizona.

Dear Philip:

During last week's conference call, I felt the presence of Jesus quite strongly. I started feeling goose bumps and light chills and then heard telepathically, "I am here, dear one." Tears welled up in my eyes.

I carefully restrained myself from sniffling into the phone. He said nothing further to me, but I felt He was coming not only to me, but also to each one of us, in order to convey His love and support in what we were collectively doing. Thank you, Philip, for your dedication to the mission He has given you. I feel privileged to be a part of this.

In all honesty, I struggle to clear my psyche to participate in sending light and love, but when I do, I find that the experience introduces new perspectives of hope and possibilitiy for healing our planet (all of us included).

Please join me in an opening prayer:

Dearest Heavenly Father, as we begin this prayer, enable us to realize that we are not praying into the air or into a vacuum. You are present at all times, not as a servant to carry out our requests but as the discriminating, passionate, personal, universal God and Father and Mother that you are.

To meet you face to face is the greatest outcome of every prayer or meditation that we ever do. Anything less than this is secondary and a lesser experience. It is in knowing you personally, through prayer and meditation especially, that the highest purpose of our reason for being on earth is fulfilled. It is obvious that this is how Jesus came to know you so intimately and why, because of this intimacy, he proclaimed that the two of you were one. Such was his experience containing the all-uniting energy of divine love, even as it is divine love that unites all people into one.

We are grateful for our present work, as we grow ever increasingly aware of its dynamics, personally and as a group. We are growing to understand through experience the attending angels and spiritual beings who come to hear and carry our prayers upward to be fulfilled. The divine love that you are is enabling this to happen.

Please continue to honor our faith and our prayers with your attendance, Heavenly Father, and the attendance of all those whom you send in spirit on your behalf.

All of this I pray in the Christ Spirit that personally embraces this circle of fellow prayers assembled to Awaken the Sleeping Giant.

Opening Talk—We Are Attended by Spiritual Beings

We Are Not Alone

There is great power in prayer. A prayer itself may be executed with great energy in which the speaking of the prayer may bring personal, physical, and spiritual therapeutic results to spirit, mind, and body. This is akin to changing the over all reality of our being through running. Not only may we have the physical benefits derived from such exercise, we can experience our mind and spirit deriving great benefits from running as well. Not only do we become physically charged up, but we also become spiritually charged up!

But there is more to praying than just attaining benefits for ourselves. There is also the object of our prayer. For what or for whom are we praying? When I forget myself and what I derive from praying, and I concentrate my prayer thoughts upon a person, or in our case, a nation of people, my prayer content swells into a greatly magnified field of energy that becomes an unstoppable wave of prayer that sweeps across space, faster than the speed of light, to encompass, penetrate, heal and uplift. It is in reaching out in this way that one is truly changed, even more so than praying for one's self.

Jesus’ Prayers for Public Purpose

During his time on earth, the object of Jesus' prayers was for the public purpose. His prayers were personal at times but yet not personal, for even as he prayed in Gethsemane and asked the cup of suffering to be taken from him, he was asking so that he might live on earth to go on and be of service to his people—not just out of some personal desire to survive.

This is the heart and mind of a spiritual master. Their thought, as endowed by destiny, is greatly beyond self, expanded outwardly to humanity, just as God's mind is ever expanded outwardly toward all of his children. Such masters say very few prayers for themselves, because their mind is on others. Besides, when you live for others as they do, what you need personally is taken care of by God through attending spiritual beings. By working with a heavenly intention, with God's intention, the universe opens its doors wide to pour out to such people all that they need and more.

We Are All Attended by Spiritual Beings

By mentioning spiritual beings attending the masters, I am gesturing in my talk toward an additional and vital element accompanying our prayers, whether those prayers are for ourselves or for others. That additional element is the presence and attendance of spiritual beings, including angels, departed loved ones, and spiritual guides.

I recall so very well, over the years, the many spiritual beings who came during my consultations with most of my clients. One of my clients was the coroner (the public officer in charge of investigating unnatural deaths) for a large mid-western city. As usual, I knew nothing about him as he sat before me for the first time to receive a spiritual reading. His occupation did not show up in the reading, for it was seemingly unimportant for his spiritual edification. First, I was surprised to see that he came from a royal background. On a human level, this surprised me so much that it even caused me to question making such a statement. But there it was before my clairvoyant sight, so I said it with total conviction. He responded with, "Yes, I am from the Philippines, and I am the descendant of a man who was once a part of the royal family of that country."

As he spoke, the room began to fill with a spiritual blue haze-like presence out of which appeared the Mother Mary. She spoke to me telepathically as to why she was there. I then told the gentleman, "You have been praying to the Mother Mary about some particular need, and she is here to say that your prayer is being answered and to continue to pray." I then added, "The room is filled with a blue haze as she stands here before me."

His energy immediately changed as he spoke in very enthusiastic tones saying, "Yes, I am praying to her, and you know, when I pray, my room fills up each night with a blue haze also!" Needless to say, this man knew that there was more to prayer than just praying into the air. He knew that his prayers were heard and, indeed, well attended by one who could act on his prayer. He discovered the real and full meaning of genuine prayer.

Mother Teresa Visited by Mother Mary

As we all know, Mother Teresa was a champion of prayer, and she could be held up definitely as a person who "prays without ceasing" as scripture advises us to do. Like the Filipino coroner, she prayed in all earnestness and got the help she sought. For example, there were orphaned children located in a certain war zone, enemy territory, for whom she had been praying as she sought to get them out of that area.

When the Mother Teresa went to military authorities for help, they turned her down cold when she pleaded with them to allow her to go in and rescue these poor children who were isolated in enemy territory. But being Mother Teresa, she was undaunted. She persisted. Why? First, it was her nature, but more importantly, her ministry was one of knowledgeable experiential cooperation with the intercessory power of spirit.

In pleading her case, the Mother said, "The Holy Mother [Mary] has told me that there will be a ceasefire for three days on such and such a day. I want to go in at that time and get these children." The authorities did not believe that there would be a ceasefire, but it happened just as Mary told Teresa it would. Amazed and dumbfounded by the accuracy of the humble spiritual giant’s prediction, the military gave in and the orphans were brought out during the ceasefire.

Spiritual Healers Attended by Spiritual Beings

We have all seen significant spiritual healers on television. Are they real? Who can say? There is one who is obviously sincere and indeed appears to be used by God as a facilitator for healing. His name, religion, or belief is not important. It is his ongoing faith and continual experience of being a channel for healing that is the most obvious truth to him and others.

It is the belief in God’s intercessory energy or power that is at the base of such healing. This kind of healing is rather unique to Christianity, because Jesus was a great healer, unlike religious founders who emphasized other aspects of a spiritual or religious life.

At this point, I want to emphasize what is going on in the unseen world while such healings are taking place, as such intercessory prayers and actions are manifest on earth through genuine instruments of healing power. As Jesus said he could call upon legions of angels to help him, so are endless numbers of spiritual beings attending genuine healers on earth. It is they, the ministering spirits, who use electrical spiritual power to cause healing to take place. It is they who speed up the atomic and molecular reality of a diseased mind and body, taking misdirected energies and redirecting them to positive ends. And it is all done out of their compassion and love, coming from our Heavenly Father whom such spiritual beings represent.

You and I are Also Attended by Spiritual Beings

You and I are never alone in our prayer efforts. The greater your awareness of this is, the more obvious it becomes. When you go into prayer, whatever your physical posture, and have the spiritual posture of a humble heart, you are sending out spiritual energy. How strong or weak the emanation depends upon your faith and effort, which depends upon your belief. In later stages, through life experience, belief moves beyond vague knowing to direct knowing, as my Filipino client and Mother Teresa both experienced.

And so it is in our prayer efforts to Awaken the Sleeping Giant. We are constantly attended by spiritual beings who have concern for you and me as individuals and for humanity as a whole. Just as Jesus did, when he appeared to me to inspire this project, these spiritual beings often inspire us to action and lead us on to carrying through to the end.

Jesus’ Attended by Spiritual Beings

When Jesus was praying on that dark, impossibly heavy night before his crucifixion, he too was attended by spiritual beings. In Mark 9:2-9 we read:

The Transfiguration¹

2 ... Jesus took Peter, James, and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. 3His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them. [They were allowed to observe Jesus’ unearthly, spiritual light.] 4And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, [whom we all know were long dead physically but very much alive in the spirit world] who were talking with Jesus.

5Peter said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."

6(He did not know what to say, they were so frightened.) [For the record, Jesus was discussing with them his impending crucifixion and how to deal with it. After all, Jesus was as human as you and I. Moses and Elijah appeared to help Jesus through the impending disaster and the resurrection afterwards. So the disciples missed the whole point!]

7Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud: "This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!" [This was said to Peter, James, and John, for it was they who would have to carry on after Jesus was crucified, and they needed to know directly from God that they should listen to and follow Jesus’ words—not only the words and visions they experienced in Gethsemane, but his teachings throughout their whole time with him on earth.]

8Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus. [Elijah and Moses had raised their vibration and disappeared into the spirit world.]

9As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus gave them orders not to tell anyone what they had seen... [By which Jesus inferred that it would only confuse people because most had no direct life experience of such things. Additionally, it was not the phenomenon of spirit appearance that was vitally important; it was what Moses, Elijah, and he had talked about and what was ahead of him and the disciples.]

Saint Paul and Early Followers Attended by Spiritual Beings

It has been my earnest effort to convey the message that as you and I say our prayers for ourselves, significant others, the nation, or the world, we are very much not alone. I realize that you are an astute group and great in your faith, but it never hurts to look deeper and higher into the invisible realm and their holy presence with us, especially as we pray seriously and sacrificially for our nation.

In the New Testament, Hebrews, chapter 11, this Saint Paul writes to his people, enumerating all of the great spiritual figures such as Noah, Moses, Abraham, Isaac, and others, who had lived by faith while on earth but were now in the world of spirit. He wrote of these esteemed historical figures of faith and how, because of their faith, they did God’s will but did not receive their just reward. He then goes on to write of these heroic people as "a great cloud of witnesses" who are now on the other side (in spirit) surrounding Paul and his followers. It is such a fitting pictorial image of our own situation as a group praying for our beloved country.

We Are Surrounded by a Great Cloud of Witnesses

For we too are surrounded by a "great cloud of witnesses": the thousands and thousands who have served as America’s founders and patriots through over two hundred years of history. Like Moses and Elijah appearing to Jesus to help him, they are with us to help us. Those who fought and died for the cause of freedom in two world wars are with us. Those who fought in the great Civil War of this nation, whichever side they were on, are with us, for they know now that the preservation of the union of the states was vital as history progressed from that disastrous time in American history. People from all walks of life in the great unfolding saga of Americans becoming a great nation are with us, and that includes many of our ancestors. We are one great circle of praying human beings seeking to do God’s will and embrace America with our whole heart.

In this effort to Awaken the Sleeping Giant, let us keep the faith and practice the belief that we are not alone, increasing our prayer power by increased knowledge that our prayers are attended by "angels," so to speak. Our prayers are being acted upon in infinite, multiple ways by a great force—a cloud of spiritual witnesses—who want our passionate, compassionate prayers answered as much and maybe even more than we do. For they have the advantage of being able to see far into the future as to what our great land may become depending, inevitably, upon little people like you and me, and what we do with our privilege and blessing; whether or not we offer up our prayers for our homeland. These spiritual beings know that "united we stand, divided we fall," and so they never leave us alone in the great cause of national and world peace.
