AWAKEN THE SLEEPING GIANT
The Value of Prayer
Philip Burley
March 27, 2006
It is not enough to begin to pray, nor to pray aright; nor is it enough to continue for a time to pray; but we must patiently, believingly, continue in prayer until we obtain an answer; and further we have not only to continue in prayer unto the end, but we have also to believe that God does hear us, and will answer our prayers. Most frequently we fail in not continuing in prayer until the blessing is obtained, and in not expecting the blessing.
George Müller (1805-1898)Prussian-born English evangelist and philanthropist Dear Friends,
As of our last phone conference, March 22-23, 2006, I announced that our Awaken the Sleeping Giant prayer would continue. I am writing to inform you of just when we will resume telephone conferencing.
We are making some major changes in the prayer condition that I am sure you will appreciate. In order to make these changes, I am asking all participants to pray on their own for this condition (weeks 15 and 16) until we resume on Monday, April 10, 2005 at 7:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (week 17). All details regarding the changes and conference call-in numbers will be sent to you by email. The email will also contain a survey, and your responses will be very needed and meaningful as we go forward together for the beloved people of America and the world.
Thank you so very much for your prayers for this most needed and worthy cause.
Attached are some wise and meaningful quotes on the value of prayer in our lives. May the truth contained in them inspire all of us in remembering to remember to pray throughout our lives.
With undying love,
Philip
